My name is Jacob Beretta and I am a freshman at the College of William and Mary. My school is located in Williamsburg, Virginia; it is a very quaint, and historical town built completely of brick and sweat. The campus itself is beautiful. Nearly all of the buildings were made 100s of years ago. In fact, the college’s establishment dates back all the way to 1693! While I’m not a history buff, I fell in love with the natural appeal of the campus and the strong feelings of community amongst the students. Currently, I am majoring in Biology with a minor in Marine Science. I wish to pursue a career in Oceanography. Fortunately, William and Mary works very closely with the Virginia Institute of Marine Science and the opportunities for research there are endless. All-in-all, I’m completely satisfied with my decision to go to William and Mary and I hope my bio persuades you to find your dream school as well.
